Description

Product

Self-locking A-P mortise lock ES21 65/72/8/24rd with panic function E, right-hand/DIN L, ref. 113710, designed for emergency exits or single-point security needs requiring compliance with EN179.

Specifications

  • Robust nickel-plated solid metal latch and double-throw deadbolt
  • Reinforced 8 mm metal follower; rotation angle limited to 35°
  • DIN 18251 class 3 certified for durability and security
  • Usable for right or left doors; case dimensions: a = 65 mm, b = 98 mm, c = 24 mm
  • Supplied without strike plate; anti-panic cylinder lock, "handle-knob" E function
  • Automatic relocking: latch senses contact with strike to secure door
  • Intended for emergency exit routes (EN179-compliant)

Usage

The lock provides secure, single-point locking and automatic self-relocking each time the door closes. Outside access requires a key, while from inside, both latch and bolt are released immediately by the lever—even if the deadbolt is double-locked—satisfying regulations for panic escape. Compatible with right-hand or left-hand installations; the lock is ideal for safety exits requiring rapid egress.

FAQ

  1. What door thickness is compatible with this lock?
Standard mortise lock installation; typical compatibility with doors 38–45 mm thick.

  2. Can the lock be installed for both left- and right-handed doors?
Yes, the lock is reversible for left and right door orientations.

  3. Does the product include a strike plate?
No, the strike plate is not included and must be ordered separately.

  4. How does the auto-relocking mechanism work?
When the latch meets the strike plate on closing, the lock automatically secures; correct door positioning is necessary.

  5. Is a key required for both entry and exit?
A key is always required from outside. Inside, doors can be opened without a key using the handle, even if fully locked.
