Usage
This pair of 1300mm curved hollow rods is designed for use with cemented patinated false cremone mechanisms, providing a robust solution for window and door hardware installations where traditional surface-mounted locking systems are required.
Advantages
- Compatible with a range of false cremone mechanisms in restoration or custom joinery projects
- Curved design allows for precise alignment and installation within sash frames or doors
- Manufactured using hollow construction to reduce weight without compromising structural strength
- Cemented and patinated finish offers added corrosion resistance and an authentic aesthetic suitable for heritage applications
- Pack includes two pieces, ensuring complete assembly for double-leaf units; not suitable for systems requiring solid rods only
Specifications
- Total length: 1300 mm per rod; suitable for standard to tall sashes or doors in period properties
- Material: Steel with cemented (case-hardened) treatment, finished with traditional patina effect to blend seamlessly in classic interiors
- Cylindrical hollow profile balances durability and ease of handling during installation; diameter optimized for common cremone sets (check mechanism specifications)
- The set includes two identical curved rods engineered specifically to fit compatible false cremone handles (handles/mechanisms not included)
How it works
The rods are installed vertically to transmit movement from the false cremone handle. When the handle is operated, the rods slide upward or downward inside the sash frame, engaging into sockets at both ends to secure the window or door.
