Usage
This 1500mm connecting bar links two rack-and-pinion electric actuators in Dual Rack systems, ensuring synchronized movement for automated opening and closing of large windows, rooflights, or domes in ventilation and smoke extraction applications.
Advantages
- Provides precise synchronization between two actuators for uniform movement of wide or heavy sashes.
- Straightforward mechanical connection with included securing pin minimizes installation time.
- Supports large openings by bridging distances up to 1460 mm between actuator brackets.
- Robust construction suitable for repeated operation in demanding environments.
- Requires appropriate alignment during installation to ensure reliable performance.
Specifications
- The bar is fabricated from durable metal, optimized for fit with UCS rack-actuator shafts (model code: 40232C).
- Sized at an effective length of approximately 1460 mm; total product length is specified as nominally 1500 mm.
(The span between fixing points should be D + 40 mm; D = shaft distance.)[1][5]
- Compatible with larger dual actuator kits used on top-hung/bottom-hung windows, louvres and domes.[5]
- The design includes a locking pin for secure fixing within both motorized and non-motorized actuator shafts.[1]
How it works
This connecting bar is inserted into the drive shaft connections of two parallel UCS rack actuators. Once fixed using the included pins and aligned brackets, it ensures that both actuators move simultaneously when powered, delivering synchronized window movement across the connected opening.[1][5]
