Usage
The Irwin Quick-Grip 300mm clamp is designed for rapid, one-handed clamping and spreading tasks in woodworking, assembly, or repair applications. It is suitable for securely holding workpieces during gluing, fastening, or cutting.
Advantages
- Operates with one hand for quick and efficient adjustments
- Non-marring pads protect surfaces from damage
- Provides up to 250 kg of sustained clamping force
- Quick-change jaw mechanism allows conversion to a spreader function
- Mild limitation: not intended for heavy industrial metalworking tasks
Specifications
- Constructed with a reinforced steel bar and robust composite jaws featuring non-slip handles and full-face pivoting pads[4][5]
- Makes use of heat-treated steel components; compliant with typical hand tool standards[4]
- Sustains a maximum clamping force of approximately 250 kg; jaw depth: approximately 95 mm; maximum opening: 300 mm[5]
- Differentiating features include quick-release trigger, smooth sliding action, and instant conversion between clamp and spreader modes[5][2]
How it works
The user positions the jaws on either side of the workpiece and squeezes the trigger grip to apply pressure. A quick-release lever enables easy removal or repositioning. The jaw assembly can be reversed to allow use as a spreader when separating materials is required.
