Usage
The IR detector for infrared MultiSwitch is designed to enable contactless switching of lights or devices within furniture or cabinetry. Ideal for automated lighting control in cupboards, wardrobes, or kitchen units.
Advantages
- Allows touch-free activation for improved hygiene and convenience
- Easily integrates into furniture due to compact size
- Reduces energy consumption through automatic on/off functions
- Compatible with a wide range of LED drivers and transformers
- No mechanical wear, enhancing product lifespan and reliability
Specifications
- Utilizes infrared sensor technology for reliable proximity detection; fits discreetly in standard furniture panels (typical head diameter: approx. 8–14 mm)
- Engineered with durable plastic housing; suitable for integration into indoor environments requiring IP20 protection rating[8][9]
- Sensing range typically from 1 to 6 cm (depending on installation); input voltage compatibility often between AC100–240V or DC12/24V based on connected systems[7][8]
- No-contact actuation by hand movement or door movement; supports load capacities up to several hundred watts when paired with appropriate driver[7][8]
How it works
The IR detector senses the presence of a hand wave or an opening cabinet door within its detection range. This triggers the switch, automatically turning connected lights or appliances on and off without physical contact.
