Usage
The Silberschnitt 100 glass cutter is designed for precise manual scoring and cutting of flat glass sheets in glazing, craft, or workshop settings. Ideal for straight cuts on standard glass types.
Advantages
- Lightweight cutting head made from a special alloy ensures smooth, controlled scoring.
- Universal design suitable for float, colored, and ornamental glass with thicknesses from 3 to 6 mm.
- Ergonomic plastic handle provides secure grip during extended use.
- Carbide cutting wheel offers high precision and consistent performance on straight cuts.
- Cutter does not require cutting fluid (dry application), simplifying maintenance requirements.
Specifications
- The cutter features a special alloy head paired with a durable carbide wheel; plastic handle follows the traditional glazier’s shape for comfort and control.
- This model is engineered for durability with reliable materials but includes non-replaceable wheels to maintain consistent quality.
- Supports glass thicknesses between approximately 3–6 mm (0–1/8 to –1/4 inch); suitable for straight line applications only.
- Differentiated by its lightweight construction and dry-use capability—ideal where oil application is undesirable or unnecessary.
How it works
The user scores the surface of the flat glass by guiding the carbide wheel along the desired cut line. After scoring, gentle pressure breaks the sheet cleanly along the score mark. No oil or fluid is required during operation.
