Usage
The Weiss Cosmo SL-660.130 high-viscosity PVC adhesive is used for securely bonding rigid PVC components in window, door, and profile assembly. It is suitable for both industrial fabrication and specialized repair work involving PVC materials.
Advantages
- High viscosity ensures precise application without dripping or excessive flow.
- Develops strong initial adhesion for reliable handling of bonded parts.
- Cures quickly to allow rapid further processing or movement of parts.
- Sustains long-term resistance to moisture and weathering, ideal for exterior applications.
- May require careful storage to avoid thickening at low temperatures.
Specifications
- Synthetic resin-based adhesive formulated specifically for hard PVC bonding; supplied in a practical 200g tube format.
- Cured joints are durable and resistant to water, aging, and many household chemicals; meets industry standards such as EN ISO 11654 (where applicable).
- Bonds develop handling strength within minutes; final bond strength typically achieved after several hours depending on temperature (application temperatures: +5°C to +35°C).
- The product's high viscosity allows controlled application even on vertical surfaces or complex profile geometries without sagging or running.
How it works
The adhesive is applied directly onto clean, dry PVC surfaces using the tube nozzle. Once the bonded parts are pressed together briefly, polymerization begins rapidly, creating a permanent joint after full curing. No additional mechanical fixation is required during set time under normal conditions.
