The Uni Posca PC-5BR beige paint marker combines a semi-flexible brush tip with opaque, water-based pigment ink for controlled strokes from 1 to 4 mm, suitable for drawing, lettering, marking, and painting on a wide variety of surfaces.
Shake the marker vigorously with the cap on, then prime the tip by pressing it on scrap paper until the beige paint flows evenly. Use light pressure for fine lines and increased pressure for broader strokes between 1 and 4 mm. Apply on surfaces such as paper, cardboard, wood, canvas, glass, plastic, metal, or stone; allow to dry fully for optimum opacity and water resistance, and fix or seal on non-porous supports if long-term permanence is required.
What surfaces can I use the Posca PC-5BR beige marker on?
The marker is suitable for most surfaces, including paper, cardboard, wood, canvas, metal, glass, plastic, ceramics, stone, and textiles. It becomes permanent on porous supports and can usually be removed from many non-porous surfaces with appropriate cleaners.
Is the ink permanent and water-resistant?
The water-based pigment ink is water-resistant and stable to prolonged light once dry. It is permanent on porous materials, while marks on smooth, non-porous surfaces can often be cleaned off with a suitable detergent or glass cleaner if not sealed.
How do I control the line width with the brush tip?
The semi-flexible brush tip offers an approximate line width from 1 to 4 mm. Use a lighter touch and the tip’s point for thin lines, and press more firmly or angle the brush for broader strokes and fills.
Does the marker have a strong smell or contain solvents?
The paint is water-based, pigment-rich, and virtually odorless, without common strong-smelling solvents. This makes it suitable for indoor use, classroom projects, studios, and enclosed spaces.
How should I store and maintain the Posca PC-5BR marker?
Store the marker horizontally with the cap securely closed to protect the tip and prevent drying. If flow decreases, shake again and gently pump the tip on scrap paper to reactivate the paint, taking care not to over-prime.
