Description

Usage

The Contimac INVERT 220 E FV CEL electrode welding station is designed for manual metal arc (MMA) and cellulosic electrode welding in industrial environments, workshops, and on-site installation projects.

Advantages

  • Supports flexible voltage input from 85 to 265 V, ensuring stable operation even with long power cables up to 100 m.
  • PFC (Power Factor Correction) technology optimizes electrical network usage and reduces energy losses.
  • Wide adjustment range from 5 to 220 A for versatile welding tasks across various metal thicknesses.
  • Equipped with enhanced arc starting features including adjustable Hotstart for improved ignition performance.
  • Relatively compact dimensions (220 x 340 x 460 mm) and a manageable weight of around 9.3 kg enable portability between job sites.

Specifications

  • Design & Technology: Robust inverter-based system; supports MMA and cellulosic electrodes; includes PFC technology for efficient power use[1][3].
  • Sustainability & Certification: Designed for professional use in demanding conditions; allows extended cable runs without voltage drop[1].
  • Performance: Output current range: adjustable from as low as 5 A up to 220 A. At a duty cycle of 60%, delivers up to 145 A continuously. Start-up voltage is approximately 95 V[3][9].
  • Differentiating Features: Adjustable Hotstart function, large connection terminals (35/50 mm²), supports generator operation, suitable for all types of coated electrodes including rutile, basic, stainless steel, and cellulose[3][9]. Weight: approximately 9.3 kg; dimensions: 220 x 340 x 460 mm[3][9]. Fuse protection at16 A.

How it works

This welding station connects to standard mains or generator power. The user selects the desired output current based on the application using front control dials. The device delivers controlled DC output optimized by inverter technology—with built-in features like Hotstart—to reliably ignite and maintain the arc when working with various electrode types.[1][3]
