Usage
The Kreg KHI-SLIDE-INT Drawer Slide Jig streamlines the installation of drawer slides in cabinets, chests, and furniture projects. Designed for face-frame and frameless constructions, it ensures slides are positioned accurately and consistently.
Advantages
- Eliminates manual measuring by aligning slides precisely with built-in indexing tabs
- Works with a wide range of drawer slide types including ball-bearing, epoxy-coated, and undermount models
- Simplifies setup with reversible brackets that support both cabinet and drawer box installations
- Durable impact-resistant polymer construction for reliable long-term use
- Supports minimum cabinet depths from 14" (35.5 cm), suitable for most standard applications
Specifications
- The jig is constructed from lightweight but robust polymer materials to resist impact during repetitive use.
- No calibration required—precision-molded components ensure repeatable alignment without additional tools or templates.
- Suits cabinets with a depth of at least 14" (35.5 cm); compatible with all major drawer slide lengths above this threshold.
- Differentiated by its dual-purpose design: brackets clamp inside the cabinet or extend outward to support drawers during mounting processes.
How it works
The jig’s two brackets are clamped onto each side of the cabinet interior. Indexing tabs align each bracket accurately. Place your chosen slide atop the supported bracket surface; drill pilot holes using integrated guides before screwing in place. Reverse the bracket position to hold drawers steady while attaching matching hardware parts.
