Clairefontaine Cyanotype Discovery Box Clairefontaine Cyanotype Discovery Box is a complete creative kit designed to introduce the cyanotype process, a historic photographic printing technique producing deep Prussian blue images. The kit brings together all required materials in a sturdy cardboard presentation box, allowing users to explore cyanotype printing without sourcing additional equipment. Cyanotype is a light-sensitive photographic process using water, sunlight, and a photosensitive solution based on ferric salts, making it accessible, visual, and scientifically engaging. Originally developed in the mid-19th century, the cyanotype technique combines photography and chemistry to create unique prints with strong tonal contrast and distinctive blue depth. The box includes ferric ammonium citrate, potassium ferricyanide, a syringe, brusg, protective gloves, and 10 sheets of Fontaine satin watercolour paper made from 100% cotton at 300gsm, alongside a multilingual booklet for guided use.
