Usage
DL Chemicals Paracol D3 White Wood Glue is designed for bonding all common types of wood, including hardwoods, softwoods, and exotic species. Ideal for interior joinery exposed to occasional moisture.
Advantages
- One-component formula simplifies application and reduces preparation time.
- Crystal clear after curing, delivering a discreet bond suitable for visible joints.
- High water resistance (D3 class) permits use in humid environments such as kitchens and bathrooms.
- Extremely high bonding strength ensures durable performance on demanding woods like beech and maple.
- Suits problematic woods; can be used with bamboo or woods prone to bleeding if prepared correctly.
Specifications
- Chemistry: Polyvinyl acetate-based dispersion; one-component white glue that becomes transparent when cured.
- Categorized as D3 according to DIN EN204/DIN68602 standards for water resistance in woodworking applications.
- Bonds achieve strong adhesion after approximately three minutes of open time; full strength develops upon curing. Resistant to brief exposure to water but not intended for permanent wet conditions.[1][5]
- Differentiating feature: clarity when dry—virtually invisible adhesive line after setting. Compatible with most wood species under proper conditions (dry, grease-free surfaces).
How it works
The glue is applied directly onto clean, dry wooden surfaces using a brush or spatula. After assembling the parts within a few minutes of application, pressure is applied until the adhesive sets. Upon curing, the joint achieves high strength with a clear finish resistant to intermittent moisture.[1][5][7]
