Usage
The UCS Rack electric rack actuator with 550mm stroke is designed for automated opening and closing of windows, skylights, louvres, or roof domes in buildings requiring natural ventilation or smoke extraction.
Advantages
- Suitable for large and heavy windows due to high thrust force (650N at 230V AC, 750N at 24V DC)
- Available in both 230V AC and 24V DC power supply options for flexible integration
- Reliable performance with electronic limit switches ensuring precise stop positions
- Anodized aluminium construction for enhanced corrosion resistance and modern appearance
- Simplified parallel wiring connection supports seamless group installations; minor limitation: requires adequate installation space due to the rack mechanism’s length
Specifications
- The actuator features a robust anodized aluminium housing combined with a rack-and-pinion drive mechanism.
- Lifespan is supported by electronic end-of-stroke control and compliance with applicable CE directives (LVD/EMC).
- The maximum stroke is precisely set at 550mm; thrust force reaches up to either 650N (230V) or 750N (24V).
- Differentiates itself through an easily integrated dual-rack version providing two points of actuation if needed.
How it works
After installation on a window frame, the actuator extends or retracts its internal rack gear when powered. This movement pushes or pulls the window sash smoothly over a distance of up to 550mm, controlled electronically for safe positioning.
