Usage
The Fischer KD 4mm toggle anchor is designed for secure fastening in hollow walls and ceilings, such as gypsum plasterboard, chipboard, and cavity floors. It is ideal for mounting lightweight fixtures like shelves or lamps in residential or commercial settings.
Advantages
- Universal use in various hollow wall materials including plasterboard, chipboard, and concrete slabs
- No special installation tool required; self-opening mechanism enables quick assembly
- Long M4 x 100 mm threaded rod allows compatibility with different panel and fixture thicknesses
- Supports pre-positioned installation for increased flexibility during work
- Not suitable for very heavy loads; recommended primarily for light to medium-weight applications
Specifications
- Toggle anchor design with wide metal crosspiece for load distribution behind the wall panel [1][6][8]
- Zinc-plated steel construction ensures robustness and durability over long-term use [1][8]
- Suits drill hole diameter: 14 mm; maximum panel thickness: 69 mm; minimum cavity depth: 34 mm; anchor length: 105 mm; thread size: M4 x 100 mm [6][8]
- The automatic flipping mechanism opens within the cavity to provide high pull-out resistance without damaging the board structure [1][6]
How it works
The toggle anchor is inserted into a prepared hole in a hollow wall. Once pushed through the panel, its spring-loaded crosspiece flips open behind the board. The fixture can then be attached using an M4 screw, providing a strong holding point without need for extra tools or complex procedures.
