Usage
The Ultra 35 carbide-tipped cutter with 3/4" Weldon shank is designed for precision drilling in metal, offering efficient core drilling for industry, construction, and metalworking environments.
Advantages
- Long service life due to robust carbide-tipped inserts
- High cutting efficiency, enabling rapid progress in demanding materials
- Consistent performance with a depth of cut up to 35 mm
- Universal compatibility with magnetic drills using a standard 3/4" Weldon shank
- Slightly increased tool wear may occur when used on highly abrasive metals
Specifications
- Tungsten carbide-tipped construction; metric sizing; cylindrical shape with a diameter of 16 mm and cutting depth of up to 35 mm; fitted with an industry-standard Weldon shank (3/4") for secure clamping[7][6]. Surface features specialized coatings according to the Fein Ultra range design[8].
- Sustains prolonged use thanks to wear-resistant materials. Engineered by Fein for intensive professional use in line with industrial standards[7][5]. Conforms to general requirements for magnetic drill cutters.
- Cuts holes up to Ø16 mm diameter and maximum depth of cut at 35 mm per pass. Optimized geometry reduces feed force and minimizes vibration during operation. Typical application speed is high compared to traditional HSS cutters[7][10].
- Differentiates from conventional core drills through advanced multi-insert carbide tips and reinforced body, supporting higher feed rates and extending tool lifespan under tough conditions[6][8]. Compatible across popular brands using the same shank interface.
How it works
This cutter operates by mounting onto compatible magnetic base drills via its Weldon shank. As the machine rotates the tool, multiple carbide inserts engage simultaneously with the material edge, efficiently extracting a central core while reducing total effort required compared to twist drills or single-insert tools.
