Usage
The OPERA GATE-LOCK 28800 electric lock secures automatic gates in outdoor residential or commercial environments, providing high resistance to weather and robust mechanical locking for enhanced entry control.
Advantages
- Robust construction with corrosion-resistant steel, aluminium, and stainless steel casing for reliable outdoor durability.
- Dual operation: electronic control with 24 VDC power and mechanical override via a European-profile cylinder (4 turns) from both sides.
- Bolt diameter of 20 mm ensures strong ground anchoring; stroke of up to 50 mm and extension of up to 60 mm for secure fitment.
- Equipped with anti-tamper device that fully locks the bolt in closed position for security against forced entry attempts.
- Cylinder orifice protected by rubber seal to prevent ingress of dust or moisture; cylinder not included.
Specifications
- Design & Materials: Surface-mount version. Lock body made from treated anticorrosion steel, aluminium, and stainless steel; faceplate also stainless steel. Finish: black varnished/acrylic paint coating.
Dimensions: body size – 335 × 60 × 55 mm.
Bolt: Ø20 mm hardened steel with chamfered tip (15 mm) for effortless latch centering.
Rubber-protected cylinder opening enhances weather resistance.
- Durability & Standards: Corrosion-resistant materials suitable for prolonged external exposure. Designed specifically for high-security gate applications where reliability is critical even under harsh conditions.
Includes an automatic internal heating system active below +5°C on select versions (referenced on certain models).
- Performance: Electrical supply at nominal voltage of DC 24 V; initial current draw at start-up is approximately 5 A, settling at around 750–900 mA during continuous hold. Mechanical locking achieved by four full turns using a compatible Euro-profile double-entry cylinder.
Bolt travel (course): maximum effective stroke is 50 mm; total extension capability reaches up to 60 mm.[5][7][9]
- Differentiating Features: Complete anti-tamper mechanism assures "total reaction" lock when engaged. Mechanical override maintains functionality during power outages if a compatible cylinder is installed. Floor locking delivers additional resistance against lever attacks.[5][7]
How it works
The electro-lock is powered by a DC 24 V supply and activated remotely through automated gate controls. When powered, it deploys its heavy-duty bolt into the ground bracket, physically securing the gate closed; users can also unlock manually using a Euro-profile key from either side if necessary.[5][7]
