Usage

The Notter rack and pinion central shaft is designed for quickly drilling the three handle mounting holes in wooden or PVC sash frames during chassis assembly.

Advantages

Allows simultaneous drilling of all three fixation holes for efficient installation.
Compatible with both wooden and PVC frames, increasing versatility on site.
Easily fits into a standard drill chuck for straightforward use.
Reduces risk of handle movement by matching lateral drill bit diameter to handle sleeves.
No need to rout out the espagnolette housing when used with a ø25 mm bit on wooden frames.

Specifications

Cylindrical central shaft equipped with precision rack and pinion mechanism; steel construction ensuring mechanical stability.
Suitable for professional chassis workshops; conforms to practices in specialized framing toolkits.
Saves time by enabling one-step drilling; recommended bit diameters: lateral bits at approx. 10 mm (for Hoppe handles, sleeve Ø9.7 mm); center bit at Ø25 mm for wood applications.[1]
Differentiates itself from standard jigs by supporting perfectly aligned multi-hole boring in a single operation without additional templates or duplicating measurements.[1]

How it works

The shaft is inserted into a conventional power drill. With appropriate bits installed, users position it over the sash frame location and activate the drill to simultaneously bore three perfectly spaced holes required for espagnolette/crémone handle fitting.[1]
