Usage
The BKS 0007 DIN narrow mortise lock is designed for securing doors with a right-hand or DIN left orientation, featuring an offset faceplate. It is ideally suited for single-point locking applications, particularly on aluminum or steel profile doors in commercial or institutional settings.
Advantages
- Narrow design allows installation in slim door profiles without compromising structural integrity.
- Offset (deported) faceplate ensures compatibility with specialized door frames and enhances aesthetic integration.
- Robust construction delivers reliable daily operation and long-term durability in high-traffic environments.
- Smooth latch function supports efficient opening and closing while minimizing wear on both lock and door hardware.
- Precise DIN compliance guarantees compatibility with standardized European handles and cylinders; requires correct handedness at order to avoid installation issues.
Specifications
- Narrow mortise case constructed from zinc-plated steel for corrosion resistance; latchbolt made of nickel-plated steel for enhanced longevity.
- DIBt-certified for use on fire protection doors (where specified), tested according to EN standards.
- Main measurements: backset of 45 mm; center distance (handle-to-cylinder) of 72 mm; faceplate offset/deportation adapts to special profiles.
- Narrow body enables use in slender aluminum or steel frame doors; intended specifically for right-hand / DIN left configurations.
How it works
The serrure installs flush within a prepared slot inside the door edge. Turning the handle retracts the latchbolt, allowing passage. The cylinder controls access by engaging or releasing the internal mechanism when locked or unlocked, providing secure single-point closure per European standards.
