Usage
The UCS rack-and-pinion electric actuator with a 750mm stroke is designed for automated opening and closing of windows in building management, natural ventilation, or smoke extraction systems.
Advantages
- Ensures precise window movement with electronic end-of-stroke control and positioning.
- Supports parallel connection for synchronizing multiple actuators on large windows.
- Anodized aluminum housing offers corrosion resistance and a modern appearance.
- Available in both 230 Vac and 24 Vdc power supply versions to suit different installations.
- Easy integration into new or existing window automation systems; minor drawback: IP40 protection limits use to indoor environments only.
Specifications
- Compact design using anodized aluminum for mechanical strength and durability. Utilizes a rack-and-pinion drive system for reliable linear motion.
- Lifespan ensured by robust materials; compliant with low voltage (LVD) and EMC directives per CE standards depending on the version chosen (230 Vac conforms to directives 73/23 LVD - 89/336 EMC as modified by the latest standards).
- Maximum push force: up to approximately 750 N. Stroke length: precisely adjustable up to 750 mm. Options for parallel connection enhance performance on large openings.
- Differentiating features include electronic limit switches, intermediate electronic stops, dual configuration options (single or multiple push points), and silent operation during opening/closing cycles.
How it works
The actuator uses an internal electric motor that drives a rack-and-pinion mechanism, producing linear movement to open or close the window. Electronic limit switches ensure accurate stopping at fully open, fully closed, or preset intermediate positions while supporting synchronization across multiple units if needed.
