Usage
The UCS Rack electric rack and pinion actuator with 750mm travel is designed for automated opening and closing of windows or vents in building management systems, particularly where precise linear movement and remote control are required.
Advantages
- Suitable for integration in modern window automation projects for improved ventilation control
- Electronic end-of-travel and intermediate electronic stops ensure safe, accurate positioning
- Anodized silver aluminum housing provides corrosion resistance and a sleek appearance
- Parallel connection capability allows multiple actuators to be controlled together for synchronized movement
- Available with both 230 Vac or 24 Vdc power input options depending on installation requirements
Specifications
- Design: Linear electric actuator using rack-and-pinion mechanism; anodized aluminum casing for durability; compact profile suitable for window frames.
- Compliance: Conforms to safety directives (73/23 LVD, EMC Directive modifications); IP40 protection rating against solid objects larger than 1 mm.
- Performance: Stroke length of 750 mm; maximum force output up to either 400 N (24 Vdc) or up to approximately 750 N depending on configuration; opening speed ranges from about 4 to 14 mm/s based on load.
- Differentiating Features: Electronic stop at end-of-travel positions prevents overrun, quiet operation due to optimized gear design, easily integrated into multi-actuator setups via parallel wiring.
How it works
Powered by either AC or DC voltage, the actuator converts electrical energy into linear motion using a rack-and-pinion system. It opens or closes windows automatically when triggered by a control system, stopping precisely at programmed points thanks to its electronic controls.
