Usage
The Fischer KDH 6mm toggle anchors are designed for secure fastening in hollow wall materials such as drywall, plasterboard, chipboard, and cavity brick or concrete ceilings. Ideal for mounting lighting fixtures and lightweight installations.
Advantages
- High load capacity due to optimal load distribution on the tilting beam structure.
- Quick installation thanks to a self-opening spring mechanism—no special tools required.
- Compatible with various board thicknesses up to 60 mm, offering flexibility across many applications.
- Includes hook fittings for easy attachment of objects like lamps or cables.
- Able to be installed pre-positioned, speeding up the assembly process when working overhead or in tight spaces.
Specifications
- The anchor features a steel toggle with a plastic pull ring and is supplied with an M6 x 100 mm threaded rod. Anchor length is 130 mm. Drill diameter required: 16 mm. Maximum panel thickness: up to 60 mm. Minimum cavity depth: at least 70 mm.[1][8]
- No specialized installation equipment necessary; product conforms to standard professional anchoring practices for hollow bodies.[1]
- Sustains recommended loads suitable for lightweight fixtures (referenced technical documentation available). High holding power achieved via automatic toggling action behind the board.[1][3]
- Differentiates itself by combining a robust metal mechanism with user-friendly installation features such as self-opening and pre-positioning capability.[1][8]
How it works
The KDH anchor is inserted into a drilled hole; once inside the cavity, its spring-loaded metal toggle automatically opens behind the wall. The fixture is then fastened from the outside using an included hook or screw—securing it strongly without requiring access to the rear side of the wall.[1][3]
