Usage
The Fischer SX Plus 5x25mm expansion plugs are designed for secure anchoring of light to medium loads in solid and hollow building materials. Ideal for general-purpose fixings in walls, ceilings, and floors.
Advantages
- Quadruple expansion delivers optimal load distribution and strong holding power in various substrates.
- Nylon construction ensures durability and reliable performance under stress.
- Anti-rotation wings prevent the plug from spinning during installation.
- Lip design stops the plug from slipping too deep into the drilled hole.
- Resistant to temperature fluctuations between -40°C and +80°C, suitable for diverse environments.[3]
Specifications
- Nylon material—high-strength, aging-resistant plastic engineered for secure anchoring.[3][4]
- No listed certifications; proven performance across standard construction applications.[1][3]
- Suits screws with diameters compatible with a nominal plug diameter of 5 mm; plug length: 25 mm; supplied as a pack of 100 pieces.[4]
- Differentiating features include four-way expansion geometry, anti-rotation lugs, and a non-expanding collar to protect delicate surfaces such as tiles or plaster.[3]
How it works
The SX Plus plug is inserted into a pre-drilled hole. As the screw is driven in, the nylon body expands symmetrically to anchor tightly within the material. Anti-rotation fins keep it stable while preventing damage during installation or use.[1][3]
