Usage
The Fischer SX Plus 10x50mm expansion anchors are designed for secure fixings in solid and perforated building materials such as concrete, masonry, and sand-lime brick. Suitable for use with wood or chipboard screws in indoor and outdoor applications.
Advantages
- 4-way expansion design delivers high load-bearing capacity and optimal force distribution
- Special fixing wings allow pre-fixation of the screw, enabling hands-free installation
- Expansion-free neck prevents damage to tiles or plaster during installation
- Narrow plug shape ensures simple insertion with up to 30% less effort than standard plugs
- The pronounced rim avoids slipping deeper into the drill hole; may require precise drilling for optimal hold in hollow materials
Specifications
- Material: High-quality nylon for long-term durability and chemical resistance[4][5]
- Suits wood/chipboard screws: diameter from approx. 6.0–8.0 mm[1][4]
- Total anchor length: 50 mm; plug diameter: Ø10 mm[3]
- Recommended drill hole diameter: Ø10 mm; minimum depth: ≥60 mm[3]
- Permanent reliable fixing in concrete, solid brick, sand-lime brick, aerated concrete, hollow blocks[1][4][5]
How it works
The SX Plus anchor is inserted into a pre-drilled hole; when the screw is driven in, the plug expands equally in four directions to grip securely within the material. The fixing wings hold the screw temporarily before tightening—especially helpful for overhead work—while an expansion-free neck protects surface finishes.
