Usage
The Absorbica-Y 150 is designed for fall protection during progression on vertical structures or horizontal lifelines, especially where passing intermediate anchors is required. Ideal for workers at height in construction, maintenance, or industrial environments.
Advantages
- Integrated compact energy absorber minimizes bulk and does not hinder movement during use.
- Elasticized arms facilitate progression by reducing slack and limiting interference with work tasks.
- Durable fabric pouch protects the energy absorber from abrasion and contaminants while enabling visual inspection.
- Multiple connection options allow compatibility with standard harnesses and various connectors for increased versatility.
- Covers a user weight range of 60 to 140 kg with compliance to major global safety standards.[1][2]
Specifications
- The lanyard uses polyester and nylon webbing; key components include high-modulus polyethylene, aluminum carabiners, and a robust shock-absorbing system.[1][3]
- Carries certifications including CE EN355 (RFU PPE-R/11.074), ANSI Z359.13 (12 ft.), CSA Z259.11-17, GB/T24538: type II, ensuring international compliance.[1][2]
- Total maximum length (with connectors) up to 200 cm under CE standards; rated for users weighing between 60–140 kg; product weight approximately 275 g.[1][4]
- Differentiators include an elastic double-arm design for ease of movement around obstacles, compact absorption module for minimal interference, simple inspection access via the zippered pouch, and options for semi-permanent or frequent harness connections.[1]
How it works
The Absorbica-Y150 connects between the user's harness and anchor points using its double lanyard arms. In the event of a fall, its integrated energy absorber deploys through progressive webbing tearing to reduce impact force on the user while maintaining continuous attachment when passing intermediate anchors.[1][2]
