Usage
Bison kit colle de contact Transparente is designed for bonding a wide range of materials, including wood, laminate, metal, leather, and various plastics. Ideal for household repairs and craft projects requiring a transparent finish.
Advantages
- Provides a strong, durable bond on both porous and non-porous surfaces
- Dries transparent for nearly invisible joints on clear or light-colored materials
- No need for clamps or temporary fasteners during assembly
- Resistant to heat, water, oil, and common solvents after curing
- May not be suitable for structural applications or certain plastics; pre-testing is recommended[1]
Specifications
- Solvent-based contact adhesive using synthetic rubber (commonly polychloroprene)
- Shelf life typically up to 15–24 months when stored in original packaging at room temperature[7][9]
- Curing time: initial handling possible after pressing surfaces together; final strength reached within several days[1][9]
- Bonds wood, laminate, metal sheets (excluding copper alloys), cork, leather, felt fabrics as well as some plastics[1][9]
How it works
The adhesive is applied evenly to both surfaces. After allowing the solvent to evaporate (usually about 10–20 minutes), the parts are pressed firmly together. The bond forms instantly upon contact through pressure without any need for external clamping.[1][9]
