- Quiet operation with "Whisper technology" minimizes noise disruption in shared workspaces[2][3].
- Separate cutting unit and container for convenient CD/DVD disposal[2][7].
- User-friendly with automatic start/stop function, reversing switch, and LED status indicators[2][7].
- The strip-cut design offers a basic P-2 security level; not suitable for highly confidential materials[3][8].
Specifications
- Durable steel cutting rollers housed in a compact plastic body; available in black/silver finishes[5][6]. Lifetime warranty on the cutting cylinder ensures reliability[4].

- Cuts up to 10 sheets at once into strips measuring approx. 6 mm (1/4"), at speeds around 8–8.3 feet per minute. Waste bin capacity ranges from approximately 15–18 liters (about 4–4.8 gallons), reducing emptying frequency [5][7].[9]
- Main features: automatic start/stop via photo sensor; reverse function to clear jams; indicator LEDs (power/overload/overheat); removable top housing for easy emptying; separate slot/waste bin section for optical media shredding [7].[9]
How it works
To operate the HSM shredstar S10, insert up to ten sheets (with staples or paper clips if needed) into the feed opening. The device automatically starts shredding into strip-cut pieces and stops when finished. CDs/DVDs are destroyed via a separate entry port with dedicated waste collection.[3][7]
