Dormakaba Electric Strike Symmetrical Case 117 AE 6-12 Vac/dc Without Faceplate per piece

Usage

The Dormakaba 117 AE is an electric strike with a symmetrical housing, designed for secure and controlled access in doors operating on 6-12 Vac/dc. Suitable for residential or commercial entry points requiring remote locking and unlocking.

Advantages

• Symmetrical design enables LH/RH neutral installation for versatile mounting
• Compatible with both AC and DC power sources (6-12 V), ensuring flexible integration
• Adjustable latch compensates for installation tolerances, making setup easier
• Manual release feature allows free passage when required, increasing usability
• No faceplate included; this reduces cost but may require separate procurement if needed

Specifications

• The unit features a compact, symmetrical metal body compatible with most standard door frames; no faceplate (têtière) is supplied.
• Suits continuous duty use on DC supply; select references offer full-time unlock via switch or timer control.
• Operates at voltages from 6 to 12 V AC/DC; stationary contact mechanism maintains unlocking after brief activation until the door opens.
• Dormakaba’s robust construction allows compatibility across various lock families and ensures reliable operation over frequent cycles.

How it works

The electric strike releases its locking mechanism when powered, allowing the door to open remotely. After a voltage pulse, the system remains unlocked until the door is accessed. Manual override enables non-restricted passage as needed.
