Usage
The Twin Tec L6050 central impact seal is designed for sealing aluminum profiles with a 5x8 mm groove in window and door frames, providing reliable protection against air, water, and dust infiltration across frame joints.
Advantages
- Ensures effective weatherproofing of frame connections
- Flexible EPDM construction allows easy installation and adaptation to profile movements
- Sustains performance over a wide temperature range
- Resistant to ageing, ozone, and UV exposure for extended service life
- Supplied in a continuous length of 150 meters for efficient large-scale use
Specifications
- Material: High-quality black EPDM rubber suitable for outdoor applications; fits grooves measuring 5x8 mm in aluminum profiles
- Lifespan typically exceeds several years under normal conditions; compliant with relevant building standards for weather seals (specifications may vary by region)
- Total supplied length: 150 meters per roll; compatible profile groove: width 5 mm x height/depth 8 mm; color: black
- Differentiates by its twin-chamber design that enhances the sealing effect at the central joint of windows or doors, improving both insulation and acoustic properties compared to standard single-lip gaskets
How it works
The seal is pressed into the designated profile groove during assembly. Once installed between two adjacent frame sections, its twin-lip structure compresses on closure—forming a tight barrier that minimizes air leakage, moisture ingress, and external noise transmission.
