The Pilot FriXion Ball 4 is a multi-color erasable gel ink rollerball pen featuring four ink colors in a single white barrel, designed for flexible and precise writing.

Usage

Select one of the four ink colors by pressing the corresponding plunger at the top of the pen. Write as normal, then use the rubber tip at the rear to erase marks cleanly by generating heat through friction. Switch colors instantly without changing pens.

  1. Can the ink be erased completely? The thermo-sensitive ink disappears when friction generates heat, leaving no visible marks on most standard paper surfaces under normal conditions.
  2. How do I switch between ink colors? Press the plunger corresponding to the desired color at the top of the pen barrel to deploy that ink tip.
  3. Is the pen refillable? Yes, the FriXion Ball 4 accepts dedicated FriXion Ball 4 refill cartridges, available separately.
  4. What line width does this pen produce? The fine 0.5 mm tip produces a consistent 0.25 mm line width.
