Pattex Tix-Gel Contact Adhesive is a multi-purpose gel glue in a 125 g tube, designed for bonding various materials such as wood, metal, rigid PVC, felt, leather, glass, ceramic, porcelain, and rubber. Suitable for use on vertical and porous surfaces, it comes in a convenient blister packaging.
Apply Pattex Tix-Gel to clean and dry surfaces of both parts to be bonded, allow to evaporate solvent, then press parts together firmly. The gel formulation enables precise, no-drip application even on vertical or difficult surfaces, providing an immediate tack and a durable, resilient bond once fully cured.
Which materials can Pattex Tix-Gel bond?
Pattex Tix-Gel is suitable for bonding wood, metal, rigid PVC, felt, leather, glass, ceramic, porcelain, rubber, and combinations of these materials.
Does the adhesive run or drip during application?
No, the gel formula prevents running and dripping, making it suitable for vertical surfaces or overhead work.
What is the recommended application temperature range?
The adhesive performs best between 18°C and 25°C, with temperature resistance up to 70°C once cured.
Is clamping required during curing?
Clamping is generally not necessary due to the high initial tack, but pressing bonded surfaces together firmly ensures optimal adhesion.
How long does it take to achieve final bond strength?
The adhesive reaches its final bond strength after approximately 72 hours of curing.
