Usage
The Wiha voltage and continuity tester is designed for rapid, reliable testing of AC voltages from 0.5 to 1000 V and DC voltages up to 1500 V. It also checks continuity, rotation fields, and polarity in electrical installations, including photovoltaic systems.
Advantages
- Wide measuring range: 0.5–1000 V AC / 0.5–1500 V DC for versatile applications.
- Conforms to CAT IV (600 V) and CAT III (1000 V) safety standards for installation environments.
- Large backlit LCD and LED display provide clear readings in all lighting conditions.
- Integrated flashlight ensures visibility when working in dark areas.
- An acoustic signal aids quick detection during continuity tests; the device is not ATEX approved.
Specifications
- The tester features an ergonomic design with a robust plastic housing; includes two AAA batteries for immediate use.[1][3]
- Carries IEC/EN 61243-3:2014 certification, CE marking, IP64 protection rating against dust and splashes.[1][3]
- Measures AC voltage: 0.5–1000 V; DC voltage: up to 1500 V; resistance up to 500 kΩ (+50%); frequency measurement supported.[1][4]
- Differentiators include one-handed operation aided by a spacer, rotary field measurement capability (170–7000 V), automatic polarity detection, functional FI/RCD test via dual-handle buttons.[1][3]
How it works
The user applies both test probes to the points under assessment—outlet terminals or wiring—to detect voltage presence or perform a continuity check. Results appear instantly on the digital LCD/LED display with an audible signal confirming current flow where applicable.[1][3]
