Usage
Mousse PU monocomposant feu DL Chemicals Parafoam FR (manuelle) 750ml is designed for sealing joints in fire-resistant walls, installing fire-rated doors and windows, and other applications requiring enhanced fire resistance in buildings.
Advantages
- Fire retardant: provides up to 240 minutes of fire resistance (EN 13501-2 certified)
- High water resistance for use in humid environments
- Low post-expansion minimizes deformation of adjacent materials
- Excellent thermal (λ = 0.033 W/mK) and acoustic insulation (Rw = 60 dB)
- Cured foam can be cut, sawn, plastered, or painted after hardening; not suitable for prolonged UV exposure
Specifications
- Polyurethane-prepolymer formulation; manual one-component foam activated by ambient humidity
- B1 fire class per DIN4102-1; B-s1,d0 per EN13501-1; French VOC emission class A+
- Tack-free in approximately 8–12 minutes; cuttable after less than an hour at +23°C/50% RH; yields about 35–40 liters per canister with a density of approximately 23–27 kg/m³ in a joint of 3x10 cm; temperature resistance from –50°C to +90°C during service
- Adheres securely to most building materials including wood, concrete, brick, plaster, metal, polystyrene (EPS/XPS), and polyurethane; shelf life up to 12 months unopened (-5°C/+30°C)
How it works
The product is dispensed manually from the aerosol can onto clean surfaces. Curing occurs via reaction with ambient moisture. Once cured, the foam provides a durable seal that resists heat transfer and flame propagation while maintaining flexibility against movement or vibration.
