Usage
Soudal Flexifoam PU foam is designed for flexible sealing, filling, and insulation of joints, window and door frames, cavities, and roof openings in both new construction and renovation projects.
Advantages
- Absorbs up to 50% movement for durable flexibility
- Provides high thermal insulation (λ = 0.035 W/m·K)
- Delivers excellent soundproofing performance (up to 62 dB)
- Low expansion formula ensures precise application with minimal waste
- Cured foam is not UV-resistant; must be protected from direct sunlight
Specifications
- One-component self-expanding polyurethane foam with elastic properties; gun grade format compatible with Click & Fix system
- CFC- and HCFC-free propellants; complies with LEED standards for low emissions; RAL, IFT certified; meets DIN4102 B2 fire rating requirements[1][5]
- Dose: yields approximately 30 liters per canister (750 ml); density ca. 25 kg/m³; fully cured within about 40 minutes at room temperature[1]
- Tolerates temperatures from –40°C up to +90°C once cured (up to +120°C briefly); minimal shrinkage (<5%), controlled expansion (~75% during curing)[1][6]
How it works
The PU foam is dispensed using a compatible applicator gun. It expands on contact with air moisture, filling gaps or joints while absorbing movement after curing. The result is a flexible seal that maintains thermal and acoustic insulation even as building components shift.
