Description

Product

Alsibois Red Wood Filler Mastic is a two-component wood-based paste designed for repairing, filling, and restoring wooden surfaces with no shrinkage upon drying.

Specifications

  • Two-component formula: wood-based paste paired with a hardener tube, sold together in a metal tin
  • Wood-based composition (unlike stone-based fillers), allowing the dried material to be worked, sanded, and stained like real wood
  • Rapid drying time of 15 to 20 minutes depending on ambient temperature
  • No shrinkage on drying, ensuring a stable and flush repair
  • Available in a 400ml format under reference 920812
  • Red tint suitable for matching warm or reddish wood tones

Usage

Mix the paste with the included hardener according to the recommended ratio. Apply the mixture to the area requiring repair, shape as needed, and allow 15 to 20 minutes for curing. Once dry, sand and stain the surface to match the surrounding wood. Keep the tin sealed when not in use to prevent premature hardening.

FAQ

  1. Does this filler shrink when drying? No. The wood-based formula is specifically designed to cure without shrinkage, ensuring a flush and stable repair.

  2. Can the dried filler be stained or painted? Yes. Once cured, the material absorbs wood stains and accepts paint, allowing it to blend naturally with the surrounding surface.

  3. How long does it take to dry? Drying time is approximately 15 to 20 minutes, depending on the ambient temperature. Cooler conditions may extend curing time slightly.

  4. How should the product be stored after opening? The tin must be kept tightly closed when not in use, as the paste dries quickly upon exposure to air.

  5. What is the difference between Alsibois and Sintobois? Alsibois is a wood-based filler, while Sintobois is stone-based. The wood-based composition of Alsibois allows it to be worked and stained more like natural wood.
