Usage
Parabond Construction grey 290ml is a permanently elastic, single-component MS polymer sealant and adhesive. It is used for sealing and bonding joints in construction projects, both indoors and outdoors, on most common building materials.
Advantages
- Permanently elastic with up to 25% joint movement accommodation for durable seals[1][2].
- Excellent adhesion to nearly all construction substrates, including slightly damp supports[1][8].
- UV- and weather-resistant for reliable performance outdoors[6][9].
- Solvent-, isocyanate-, and phthalate-free; safe for food preparation zones (FDA compliant)[1][4].
- Paintable with most water- or solvent-based paints after curing; does not stain natural stone or corrode metals[1][3].
Specifications
- MS hybrid polymer formulation; single-component cartridge (290ml)[1][4].
- Permanently elastic (-40°C to +90°C); certified EC1plus (very low VOC), French A+ class, FDA code 21 §177.2600(e) compliant; SNJF Façade 25E approved shades[1][10].
- Curing speed: approximately 2.5–3 mm per day at standard conditions. Shore A hardness: ~40. Maximum deformation: ±25%. Density: ~1.48 g/ml. Elongation at break: ~230%[1][2]
.
- Bonds without primer on most substrates—metal, concrete, brick, wood, glass—and suitable for use with natural stone without staining[4][6]. Can be applied to dry or slightly humid surfaces.
How it works
The cartridge is applied using a standard caulking gun onto clean substrates where sealing or bonding is necessary. The product cures by reacting with ambient air moisture to form an elastic joint that can accommodate movement and provide lasting protection against weathering.
