Usage
This nylon pulley is designed for guiding and redirecting ropes thicker than 7 mm, making it suitable for lifting, tensioning, or maneuvering loads in strapping, netting, or elastic applications.
Advantages
- Nylon wheel reduces friction for smoother rope movement and extends rope lifespan
- Corrosion-resistant components enable reliable use indoors and outdoors
- Compatible with a variety of rope diameters above 7 mm for versatile use
- Lightweight design simplifies installation and handling while minimizing load weight
- Smooth-running hub ensures consistent performance with minimal maintenance needs
Specifications
- Pulley wheel (sheave) made from hard-wearing nylon; supporting structure typically steel or zinc-plated metal for strength
- Nylon provides high abrasion resistance; metal parts resist corrosion in demanding environments
- Suits cords greater than 7 mm in diameter; typical load capacity ranges between approximately 20–60 kg depending on configuration[2][7]
- Smooth bore hub allows fluid rotation under tension without bearings; compact dimensions are practical even in tight spaces[1][7]
How it works
The pulley is fixed to a support point. A rope of suitable diameter passes through the nylon sheave, which rotates as the cord moves. This setup enables lifting or directing loads efficiently while minimizing wear on both the cord and pulley.
