Usage
The Fireball Monster Square 100 AL is designed for precise alignment of workpieces at 90° or 45°, making it ideal for welding, fabrication, and assembly tasks where accurate setup and stability are essential.
Advantages
- Lightweight cast aluminum construction facilitates portability and ease of handling during on-site welding jobs.
- Machined flange and web design ensures dimensional accuracy and rigidity throughout repeated use.
- Tapped holes enable the addition of alignment tabs for diverse positioning options, even without a welding table.
- Naturally resistant to weld spatter, reducing cleanup time on sensitive surfaces.
- While highly durable for its weight class, aluminum may be more vulnerable to damage if dropped or used in demanding heavy-duty applications compared to cast iron alternatives.
Specifications
- Manufactured from cast aluminum (AL) with a fully machined finish on all outer edges for straightness and flatness.
Flange-and-web architecture maintains stiffness while keeping weight low.
Tapped mounting holes allow quick attachment of included tabs or optional accessories.
- No formal certifications; engineered according to Fireball’s patented square design standards.[1][3]
- Dimensions: square section measures approximately 100 x 100 mm with flange thickness proportional to size category (typically around 1.5" / ~38 mm based on range sizing).[3][7]
- Differentiating features include support for rapid setup at standard angles (90°/45°), tab compatibility, and multi-surface clamping points. Machined radii on tabs also permit use as a traditional speed square.[5][6]
How it works
The Monster Square is positioned against the workpiece so its interior faces establish reference angles. With optional tabs mounted in tapped holes, materials can be held perpendicular or at set angles during tacking and full welds. Multiple machined surfaces provide secure clamping options—no need for elaborate setups or dedicated tables.[1][3][6]
