Usage
The Niko double-pole switch socket base is designed for safe electrical circuit interruption in domestic installations. It serves as a reliable mounting solution for installing a bipolar switch mechanism within residential or similar indoor environments.
Advantages
- Ensures complete disconnection of both live and neutral wires, enhancing safety during maintenance.
- Compatible with standard Niko switch mechanisms and faceplates for flexible integration.
- Constructed using robust, flame-retardant plastic materials to reduce fire risk.
- Provides secure fixation within wall boxes thanks to precision-molded geometry and mounting holes.
- Slim profile allows installation in spaces with limited wall depth.
Specifications
- The base is made from high-grade thermoplastic, offering insulation and resistance against deformation at operating temperatures up to approximately +60°C.
- This product complies with CE standards for domestic low-voltage switching devices and carries relevant national certifications where required.
- The module supports a nominal voltage of up to 250 V AC with maximum current handling suitable for typical household circuits (contact manufacturer datasheet for precise ratings).
- Differentiates itself by supporting true double-pole interruption—disconnecting both phase and neutral conductors—making it suitable where local regulations demand full circuit isolation against accidental contact or repair scenarios.
How it works
The socket base is mounted into the wall box. A compatible Niko bipolar switch mechanism clicks securely into the base, enabling installers to wire both live and neutral cables safely. On operation, the installed switch isolates power on both conductors simultaneously, providing peace of mind during usage or servicing tasks.
