Usage
This cordless Festool eccentric sander is designed for sanding flat or curved surfaces, wood, and metal. Suitable for professional finishing and repair work where mobility and clean sanding results are required.
Advantages
- Cordless operation enables freedom of movement on-site or in the workshop.
- The random-orbit motion minimizes visible sanding marks, achieving uniform surface finishes[1][5].
- Integrated dust extraction system supports cleaner working conditions[3][5].
- Ergonomic one-handed design enhances comfort during extended use[2].
- Suits a range of abrasive types for rough material removal or fine finishing tasks[1][2].
Specifications
- Design: Compact cordless sander with a 150 mm diameter disc; uses hook-and-loop fastener for easy abrasive changes[1][3]. Construction features robust housing suitable for professional settings.
- Durability: Quality construction supports long service life; recommended by professionals for repetitive use in woodworking environments. Compatible with Festool’s dust extraction systems to prolong component longevity[3][5].
- Performance: Provides efficient material removal through combined rotary and eccentric motion; typically operates at variable speeds (specific values vary by battery configuration). Suited to heavy stock removal as well as precision finishing on various surfaces[6][7].
- Differentiators: Cordless platform allows operation without proximity to power outlets. Integrated dust collection improves health, safety, and quality of work results compared to traditional sanders.[3]
How it works
The Festool ETSC eccentric sander sands by rotating its round pad in both circular and elliptical movements. Powered by an onboard rechargeable battery, the tool removes material efficiently while minimizing swirl marks. Attach any compatible abrasive disc via the velcro pad, switch on the device, and guide it across your workpiece while connected to a dust bag or vacuum system if desired.
