Advantages
- Motorized locking and unlocking enables integration with modern access control systems.
- Dual operation: can be controlled electronically or mechanically via a cylinder key.
- Lateral shear load resistance up to 5,000 N provides robust physical security.
- Includes a complete set with striking plate for streamlined installation and reliable performance.
- Requires vertical mounting; not suitable for horizontal installation contexts.
Specifications
- Design: Motor-driven bolt for mortise fitting; delivered complete with striking plate. Material details depend on variant but follow Eff Eff quality standards.
- Sustainability and Certification: Operating temperature range from -10 °C to +50 °C; rated IP20 protection class.
- Performance: Lateral shear load capacity up to 5,000 N; resistance force against bolt push-back of approx. 2,000 N; operating voltage: 12 V DC (requires compatible control unit); typical current consumption: 1.2 A.
- Differentiators: Only supports vertical installation at the side of the door leaf; supplied with a long (4 m) connecting cable for flexible setup.
How it works
The Eff Eff 5523-25 lock secures doors by extending or retracting its motorized bolt when triggered by an electrical signal from an access system or by manual use of a cylinder key. The system ensures high holding force while allowing rapid remote unlocking as required in security-sensitive applications.
