Usage
The supplementary stay for Primat-FL190 EV1 is designed for use with lift-open and lift-open-drop fittings, providing enhanced support and secure operation for bottom-hung windows in wood, PVC, or aluminium frames.
Advantages
- Supports glass weights up to 70 kg/m2, enabling safe opening of large or heavy sashes.
- Smooth operation even at a maximum opening width of approximately 190 mm.
- High corrosion protection due to HAUTAU-Splus chromed silver finish on steel components.
- User-friendly installation with front-mount access and concealed fixing screws.
- Universal compatibility—can be used left- or right-handed on various frame materials; minor drawback: requires minimum sash dimensions for installation.
Specifications
- Design features anodized aluminium visible parts (EV1), robust steel functional elements, and an ergonomic lever handle with recessed grips.
- Lifespan extended by anti-dirt profiling; certified high anti-corrosion resistance meets CE standards for building hardware components.
- Tolerates sash widths from at least 440 mm up to a maximum of 3600 mm (dependent on the number of stays), glass weight up to 70 kg/m2, total sash weight max. 80 kg, opening width up to approx. 190 mm.[1][3][5]
- Differentiators include an additional third locking mechanism inside the stay for increased closing pressure and security; stormproof fixation when open; adjustable closing pressure directly on the sash bracket.[1][4]
How it works
The supplementary compas is mounted onto the window’s lift-open mechanism. When engaged via its lever, it securely guides and supports window movement — ensuring precise control during both opening and closing while maintaining optimal pressure along all contact points.[1][5]
