Usage
The G-Man 350mm backsaw with fine, hardened teeth is designed for precise wood cutting tasks such as joinery, finish carpentry, and miter cuts. Suitable for use on solid wood, chipboard, and MDF in workshop or renovation settings.
Advantages
- Fine triple-ground teeth deliver clean and accurate cuts with minimal effort.
- Impulse-hardened (hardpoint) tooth tips retain sharpness up to five times longer than standard saws.
- Ergonomic beechwood handle offers secure grip and control for both single- and two-handed use.
- Straight-backed design supports the blade during precise sawing operations.
- Saw blade is not resharpenable due to hardening process but ensures consistent performance throughout its lifespan.
Specifications
- Balde length: 350 mm; overall length: approximately 510 mm; blade thickness: approx. 1.0–1.2 mm; kerf width: approx. 1.4–1.7 mm[2][5].
- Beechwood handle with anti-slip end protection; hole for safety strap attachment[5].
- Tooth pitch selection available (9 TPI or finer); straight tooth line inspired by Japanese cross-cut pattern[5].
- Straight-backed reinforced spine increases stability during guided cuts in a miter box or along a marked line[4][5].
How it works
The user aligns the saw’s back against the guide edge or marks their cut line on the workpiece. With gentle forward and backward strokes, the fine triple-ground teeth smoothly remove material while the reinforced back keeps each cut accurate and straight through wood-based panels or solid timber pieces[3][4][5].
