Usage
Soudal Soudatight LQ is designed for creating airtight and vapour-tight seals on joints, connections, and surfaces in construction and renovation projects. It is ideal for floor-to-wall, wall-to-ceiling junctions, window frames, and similar applications where controlling air leakage is critical.

Specifications
- Water-based fibre-reinforced polymer paste; applied as a liquid membrane with a flat brush or trowel
- Airtightness certified (EN 12114), Passive House certified; very low VOC emissions (EC-1 PLUS, M1 labels)
- Cures to an elastic membrane with elongation at break >50%; layer thickness: minimum 1 mm, maximum 3 mm per coat; covers approx. 0.5–1 kg/m² depending on surface porosity (4.5 kg covers roughly 4.5–9 m²)
- Tolerates slightly moist or dusty substrates without pre-treatment; compatible with many construction materials including concrete, masonry, PVC, aluminium, wood—unsuitable for glass or certain plastics like PE/PP/PTFE
How it works
The product is stirred before use then applied undiluted by brush in at least two coats directly onto the substrate. After drying each layer forms a flexible seamless membrane that blocks air passage and retards water vapour diffusion while remaining paintable or plasterable for final finishing.
