Usage
Tec7 X-Seal Concrete Grey is a highly flexible, paintable MS hybrid polymer sealant for sealing and filling joints or cracks in construction, interior finishing, and renovation projects on both dry and wet substrates.
Advantages
- Permanently elastic with high movement capability (20%) for durable sealing
- Excellent adhesion to most building materials, including damp surfaces
- Mould-resistant and weatherproof; suitable for indoor and outdoor use
- Perfectly paintable after curing with standard paints
- Neutral odour; free of solvents, phthalates, or isocyanates minimizes application hazards
Specifications
- Basis: MS hybrid polymer technology providing flexible yet robust bonding strength and satin finish in grey concrete color (approx. RAL 7030)
- Lifespan & Certifications: Shelf life of up to 18 months (sealed); conforms to ISO standards DIN EN ISO 7390/10563/7389. Resistant to UV rays and adverse weather conditions.
- Performance: Shore A hardness: ~32; Elastic recovery: >60%; Movement capacity: up to 20%; Elongation at break: ~600%; Temperature resistance from -40°C up to +90°C; Paintable after curing[9][7][1]. Density approx. 1.48 g/cm³ at room temperature.
- Differentiators: Adheres even on moist substrates, safe on natural stone without staining, resistant to most diluted acids/bases/oils/water. Minimal shrinkage (<3%) upon full cure[9][8][7]. Can be transported safely down to −15°C during winter.
How it works
X-Seal is applied using a manual or pneumatic caulking gun directly onto clean joints or cracks. It cures by reacting with moisture from the air or substrate, forming an elastic joint that can be painted over once fully hardened—typically within several hours depending on thickness[9][4]. Suitable for connection joints around windows, doors, skirting boards, masonry elements and sanitary facilities.
