The FID II PLUS Insulation Fixing from Fischer is designed for securely anchoring medium-weight attachments, such as wall boxes or letterboxes, directly into various insulation materials on façades or external thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS).
Specifications
- Made of glass fibre reinforced plastic; incorporates centering, milling, and cutting tip geometry
- 80 mm anchor length; compatible with standard screws of 4.5–6 mm diameter; TX40 drive
- Allows use of chemical components (e.g., PU foam) to increase load values; enables universal use in mineral wool, EPS, XPS, wood fibre, and PU rigid foam; clean setting result under the screw head geometry
Usage
FID II PLUS is installed by screwing directly into the insulating layer using a cordless screwdriver, without the need for pre-drilling in thin plaster layers (up to 10 mm). For thicker plasters, pre-drilling is advised. The plug anchors itself in the insulation without damaging the plaster, and an optional chemical additive can be injected to provide even higher load-bearing capacity.
