Usage
The Wiha automatic wire stripper is designed for fast and efficient stripping of insulation from copper and other standard electrical wires, suitable for cross-sections ranging from 0.03 to 16 mm² in both professional and DIY environments.
Advantages
- Covers a wide conductor range from 0.03 to 16 mm², addressing most common wiring applications.
- Self-adjusting mechanism eliminates the need for manual adjustments when changing wire sizes.
- Equipped with robust metal blade mounts for enhanced durability during high-frequency use.
- Blade guard protection helps prevent unintended hand injuries during operation.
- Lacks adjustable strip length stop, which may limit precise custom strip lengths for some users.
Specifications
- Total length: approximately 200 mm; constructed with reinforced plastic housing and integrated metal blade mountings for longevity.
- Suits cable cross-sections between 0.03–16 mm² (AWG: approx. 32 to 5); conforms to typical safety standards but not intended for live circuits.[9][4]
- No need to adjust the notch depth or stripping length manually; handles single and multicore cables within specification.[9][4]
- Differentiated by its fully automatic self-adjustment function, compact build, integrated cutter, and ergonomic handle design.[7][9]
How it works
The user inserts the selected wire into the stripping jaws up to the built-in stop; upon squeezing the handles together, the tool automatically adjusts to remove only the insulation without damaging conductors. Suitable also for repetitive tasks thanks to its ergonomic grip.[7][4]
