Usage
The Comaglio 472 automatic baseboard is designed to provide an effective seal at the bottom of doors, preventing drafts, noise, dust, and light penetration in residential or commercial settings.
Advantages
- Reduces energy loss by sealing door gaps efficiently
- Improves acoustic insulation by minimizing sound infiltration
- Smooth operation thanks to internal spring-actuated mechanism
- Absorbs uneven floor surfaces for a consistent, reliable seal
- Low-profile design fits seamlessly under most standard doors; field cutting may be limited due to precise sizing requirements
Specifications
- Milled aluminum profile with integrated drop-bar mechanism and flexible sealing strip for robust performance and durability[6]
- Sustains repeated use without loss of function; meets weatherstripping best practices for air-tightness[1]
- Total dimensions: length 1030 mm, width 28.5 mm, height (depth) 12 mm; suitable for sealing gaps up to approximately one inch depending on configuration[1]
- Differentiated by concealed installation hardware and spring-loaded automatic actuation that engages only when the door is closed[1][5]
How it works
The Comaglio 472 operates using a plunger mechanism: as the door closes, a concealed spring drops the seal against the floor or threshold. The seal retracts automatically when the door opens to prevent dragging or wear on surfaces.[1][5]
