Usage
The Comaglio 472 automatic baseboard is designed to provide an effective seal at the bottom of doors or partitions, preventing drafts, dust, noise, and light infiltration in residential or commercial interiors.
Advantages
- Activates automatically as the door closes to create a consistent barrier against external elements.
- Adapts flexibly to uneven floor surfaces for optimal sealing performance[1].
- Slim profile (12x28.5 mm) allows discreet integration with most door types and finishes.
- Simple installation process supports both new constructions and retrofits.
- May require precise measuring during installation for a perfect fit due to its length (1230 mm).
Specifications
- Constructed from robust materials suitable for high-frequency use; typically features anodized aluminum housing with durable internal components[7].
- Corrosion-resistant design extends lifespan in various environments; maintains flexibility across temperature variations[7].
- Total dimensions: width—12 mm; height—28.5 mm; length—1230 mm per piece.
- Differentiated by an automatic drop-down mechanism that adjusts to floor level when the door closes, retracting when opened[1][7].
How it works
This baseboard uses a concealed spring mechanism: as the door is closed, a plunger on one end activates an internal bar that drops down a sealing gasket along the floor. When opened, the seal retracts into its housing for smooth operation without dragging or wear[1][5][7].
