Description

Usage

This DIN lock by CES is designed for single-point notch locking on right-hand (DIN L) doors in commercial and public buildings. It is suitable for projects requiring reliable, secure door closure and ease of integration with standard euro-profile cylinders.

Advantages

  • Compatible with euro-profile cylinders, allowing broad replacement and upgrade flexibility.
  • PZW anti-friction latch minimizes wear and ensures smooth, quiet operation during frequent use.
  • Stainless steel faceplate resists corrosion in demanding environments, supporting long service life.
  • Complies with DIN EN 12209 standard for mechanical strength and security performance.
  • Handed model; correct specification needed to match door orientation (right/DIN L).

Specifications

  • The lock features a galvanized steel case with blue lacquer protection; faceplate is stainless steel AISI 304, dimensions approximately 24 x 235 mm.
  • Cylinder distance: 72 mm; backset: 65 mm. Designed to fit rebated or flush timber or metal doors. Locking mechanism includes a PZW anti-friction latch bolt made of nickel-plated sintered steel.[1][2]
  • The product fulfills DIN EN ISO 9001 quality standards as well as fire resistance requirements per EN standards (up to at least EI60 depending on door type).[1][5][6]
  • Bushed TENAX clamp follower, supports an eight-millimeter spindle. Handing must be right/DIN L specified at order.[1][7]

How it works

The lock operates by retracting the anti-friction latch bolt when the handle or key is turned. This action allows smooth opening while minimizing noise and mechanical stress on the latch mechanism. Locking engages the deadbolt via cylinder rotation for secure closure.[1][5]
