Usage
The Lecteur Proximité 125 Khz - noir - NANOPB is designed for secure, contactless access control in commercial, industrial, and institutional settings. It enables efficient entry management using 125 kHz proximity technology.
Advantages
- Seamless integration with most existing access control systems via Wiegand protocol output
- Durable construction suitable for both indoor and outdoor installations (typically IP65 or better weather resistance)
- Supports a broad range of compatible credentials (cards, fobs) from major brands utilizing 125 kHz technology
- User-friendly visual and audio feedback through LED indicators and built-in beeper
- Compact design allows flexible mounting options, including mullion and single-gang configurations[6][9][10]
Specifications
- Design & Materials: Black housing with compact profile; supports mullion or single-gang mounting; constructed for robustness in demanding environments[6][9].
- Durability & Certifications: Typically rated IP65 or higher for dust/water resistance; designed to operate reliably from -40°C to +65°C; compliant with major standards such as FCC, CE, UL294[6][9].
- Performance: Operates at a frequency of 125 kHz using contactless RFID technology; typical read range up to approximately 76 mm (3 inches)[6][9]. Requires a power supply of around +5 VDC to +16 VDC.
- Differentiating Features: Provides instant user feedback via LEDs and audible signals; supports multiple credential protocols (HID®, AWID®, Farpointe®); offers tamper-resistant features for increased security[4][5][6].
How it works
The reader detects the presence of a valid proximity credential—such as a card or key fob—using radio frequency identification at the standard frequency of 125 kHz. When presented within its operating range, it transmits the unique identifier to an access control panel for authorization before granting entry[6].
